I think we've all gone through this in bits and pieces, here and there. I stopped regretting when I hit 40. (Ok, I DO regret not seeing David Bowie in concert in 2005 when I had the chance.)
I've made peace with the fact that I've made my bed, it's full of lumps but I've learned to sleep around them.
That tour is (or was, don't know if it still is) available on DVD. It was shot at a show in Ireland and is fucking amazeballs. The main reason I didn't go? I am a stupidly HUGE, lifelong U2 fan and they were touring that year and were playing in Chicago - 3 days in May and 2 in September and, if memory serves I was at 3 of those 5 dates. (I've seen them about 18 times total)
