I can relate to the struggle to go traditional. Though I didn't struggle as long as you, the book I'm releasing at the end of February I did the query trench song and dance for over a year. Even with some positive feedback from agents, the whole act really killed my spirit. I was already thinking about self-publishing before I sent the first query, so I decided to just go for it, and I'm happy I chose the indie route. The more I learn about the state of publishing the less I want to participate in that mess. Indie all the way!
