Because I experiment with this genre myself, I’m wondering what does auto fiction / fictional memoir mean to you vs fiction or memoir. Where do the lines blur?

Hey! It's a fair question. For me, I like to write honest, very real-life prose. That said: When convenient, I sometimes like to veer off the edge of realism, or to exaggerate, alter details a bit, etc. So for these reasons I call it auto-fiction or "fictional memoir." To me these phrases are more or less interchangeable.

Love it. I feel similarly and I kind of think all memoir is “auto fiction” because no one’s memory is totally reliable.

Yes! Absolutely. Michael Chabon talks a lot about that. Also, some memoir is classified in bookstores as "fiction."
