My father has been in the hospital—with stage 4 skin cancer, three types of Pneumonia, Sepsis, Staph infection, etc—for 17 days as of now, Thursday, April 20th, 2023. I wrote an uncomfortable sort of epitaph/coda to/for him a week-and-a-half ago because we were certain (my mother and I) he wouldn’t survive this infection, not with all he’s got going on, at age almost 77.
